Flippin' Awesome Adventures
Flippin' Awesome combines private dolphin and snorkeling outings with a marine-science focus. Captain Chris Farley is the marine biologist behind the company; confirm the assigned captain if sailing specifically with him is part of your decision.
The 2-, 3-, and 4-hour options let a six-person-or-smaller group choose how much time to devote to the outing. The boat has a Bimini shade cover but no onboard bathroom, so a longer booking needs to fit everyone's bathroom needs. Snorkeling gear is included; confirm which activities are part of the product you select.

Check boarding requirements closely if someone uses a mobility device. The PCB operator specifies a 27-inch wheelchair-width limit and does not allow power chairs or scooters aboard; arrange any manual-chair accommodation with the crew in advance. Strollers and car seats are not permitted aboard either. Those details may determine the booking more than the difference between a daytime and sunset trip.

Island Time Sailing
Island Time's 3-hour Shell Island Snorkel & Sail combines a catamaran outing with snorkeling equipment and paddleboards. Choose that product when getting in the water is a main part of the day. Its 2-hour sunset cruise is a different plan, so don't assume it includes the same activities.
The catamarans have a partially covered bar area and two below-deck bathrooms reached by steps. Guests can stay aboard instead of snorkeling. Outside drinks and coolers are not allowed; drinks and snacks are sold aboard.
Where it is: Lagoon Pontoons Marina on North Lagoon Drive, near the Grand Lagoon restaurant and marina area.
PCB Prestige
PCB Prestige offers a private 3-hour trip and a shorter 2-hour sunset option for up to six guests. It suits a group that wants its own captain-led outing and can make the Panama City departure work with the rest of the day.
Choose the daytime product if you want to discuss several activities, and confirm the actual itinerary before paying. Ask specifically about shade, bathroom access, and boarding for the assigned boat if those will affect your group. A private booking gives your party its own trip, but routes and activities still depend on conditions.

Dolphin Cruise Co.
Dolphin Cruise Co. offers a 90-minute PCB dolphin cruise that is a useful starting point when you want a shorter shared outing. Keep that product separate from the company's longer Shell Island tiki and snorkeling options when comparing both price and time away from the dock.
Confirm the vessel's shade, bathroom, and boarding arrangements for the specific PCB departure. If the advertised no-sighting policy matters to you, read it before booking: the offer is a raincheck rather than a cash refund, which may have little use if you're leaving town the next day.
Where it is: On North Lagoon Drive in PCB; select the Panama City Beach product rather than another destination on the company's site.
Wildlife expectations belong in the booking decision
Dolphins are wild animals, and sightings and snorkeling conditions vary. Choose a trip you would still value if the wildlife stayed farther away than you hoped. Feeding, touching, chasing, or trying to swim with wild dolphins is not a responsible substitute for observation; follow NOAA viewing guidance.
For young children, bathroom access, shade, boarding, and time aboard deserve attention before any promise of island exploration. If someone needs an easy early exit, a mainland activity may fit better than even the shortest cruise.
Compare the cancellation terms before paying
An operator's weather cancellation is different from your decision not to go. Current customer-cancellation windows also differ: Flippin' Awesome lists 72 hours, while Island Time lists 24 hours. Read the terms for the selected product and date, including refund handling, minimum passenger numbers, and late arrival.
Schedule a weather-dependent trip early enough in your stay to leave a possible replacement date. Check the local marine forecast, follow the operator's departure decision, and leave a buffer before your next reservation.
