Angelo’s Steak Pit

Look for Big Gus, the giant steer outside Angelo’s Steak Pit, when a steak dinner is on the agenda. The steaks cook over an open hickory pit, with cuts ranging from top sirloin and ribeye to filet mignon and a substantial T-bone. Soup or salad and a choice of side come with the steak plates, so a baked potato and a steak can be the whole plan.

Start the table with battered garlic cheese nuggets or onion rings, then take the seafood route with jumbo fried shrimp or pair them with filet mignon. Save a little room if the dessert menu catches your eye: Angelo’s Angel Pie is apple pie finished with melted cheese, butter, cinnamon, and sugar.
